Scrap Around the World February 2014 challenge.

The Scrap Around the World mood board was the inspiration for this creation.http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/february-2014-challenge-ten-deliciously.html?m=1

I love the pink & purple ombre effects & the splash of gold in the chevron & the flower pot.  It combined to give a feeling of decadence & indulgence- high tea in Paris, art galleries & gardens.

I used a mix of distress inks. Dylusion sprays and Lindy's stamp gang glitz for the background.  This was inspired by colours the cake icing and the lipstick samples.

I then painted the gold leaf inspired by the flower pot. I used leftover ink from the background to colour the tags.

I included a small photo of bougainvillea as I love the colours and the Chevron from the mood board gave an art gallery feel to me. I kept this small as I didn't want to draw away from the main design too much.

The beautiful French Impressionist image is from a card kit from Tattered Inspirations as was the lace in the top corner. I used various bits of bling to decorate the tags.

I used Kaisercraft paper and acetate for the green tag and green H20 to colour the chipboard iron work on this tag and distress ink for the other in dusty concord.

I finally edged the entire page with sparkly lace washi tape.

The SATW mood board was gorgeous inspiration.

My Favourite Things.

I used roses, silver white winters, snowflakes and cream coloured buildings. This was my first white Christmas. We took a tour through Europe two Christmas's ago.

I used Little Yellow Bicycle, Graphic 45 papers.   My embellishments were Kaisercraft flowers, pieces of lace to replicate snow, and pieces cut from a flocked lace border piece and a paper clip and photo corners from my stash.

The polka dot paper is from Kaisercraft and the alphabet letters from Studio Calico.

Then I finished it all off with a magical sprinkling of glitter.

I have posted this on the Frosted Designs blog spot for their My Favourite Things challenge.

December gold and silver challenge

I used Tim Holtz distress inks in mustard seed, crushed olive,  fired brick and antique paper to create the blended back ground. I then sprayed perfect pearls mist over the top of a crafter's workshop mask. Then I fussy cut the batik flowers from unknown paper. Finally I embellished my project with Bella bling, Kaisercraft rhinestone strips, creative memories bling, jolly and joy self adhesive silver ribbon and finally Renoir 3D silver and gold letters and Kaisercraft Curiosity letter sticker sheet.
